It has been proven that children with autism connect with animals such as dogs and horses, which helps with their physical and social communication difficulties. Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) specialises in giving disabled people highly trained horses to create a bond between horse and human.

My project was to help a child with autism to explore alternative therapy and introduce her to horses and the ways they heal.

This experience has been amazing and great to see the difference in this child's behaviour and especially her speech.

We are planning to continue our visits after COVID-19 restrictions end.
